Location

Camerino is an historical town, which became important especially during the middle-age and the Reinassance under the noble family of the da Varano.  In 1336 the University, one of the oldest in Italy, was founded. Camerino is conveniently located in an enchanting hilltop position at 661m a.s.l, near both to spectacular Apennine mountains and to the pleasant Adriatic coast.
Camerino hosts a well-organized University campus, with an established international reputation and good infrastructures, located in a beautiful natural environment.

How to reach Camerino

BY PLANE
1) from ANCONA FALCONARA AIRPORT:
by private car transfer service (approx. 120 Euro for up  to 4 passengers, 1,15  hour, ask us for contacts)
by train from Castelferretti station (just in front of the airport), take the train to Fabriano and once there the connection to "Castelraimondo-Camerino" station. For some trains the connection is in "Albacina" station. A regular bus service scheduled for each train arrival connects 'Camerino-Castelraimondo' station with Camerino (about 15 minutes). 2)from ROME FIUMICINO AIRPORT
Take the express train from the Airport station to Roma Termini station or regional trains to Roma Tiburtina station, then:

2a) Take the train for Ancona to Fabriano station (3 hours).
From Fabriano station, take the local train for Civitanova Marche to Castelraimondo-Camerino (30 minutes).
Once there,  buses are scheduled for each arrival of trains (the bus takes 20 minutes to reach Camerino, ask the driver to stop at the Campus)

2b) Take the train to Foligno station (approx 2 hours).
From Foligno, coaches depart daily to Camerino (except Sunday):
i) Flixbus stop (Viale Mezzetti, 9, approx 300 m from the station) at 11:00 am. Connection at Muccia Maddalena Bus Terminal. Arrival in Camerino at 12:20 am. Please check the updated schedule on www.flixbus.com

ii) Foligno Railway Station at 3.25pm. Connection at Muccia Maddalena Bus Terminal. Arrival in Camerino at 4:40pm
iii) Foligno Railway Station at 5.45pm. Direct connection. Arrival in Camerino at 6:40pm.

From Foligno, private car transfer service can be also arranged (approx. 80 Euro for up  to 4 passengers, ~1  hour, ask us for contacts)
 

BY BUS
From Rome: Coaches depart daily  from Rome from the Tiburtina Bus Station located just outside
 - Tiburtina Railway Station at 12.15 am. This bus also stops at 12.30 am in Via Palestro close to Rome Termini Railway Station. 
Connection at Maddalena Bus Terminal. Arrival in Camerino at 4:15pm. It does not run on Sunday.
-  Tiburtina Railway Station at 7.40pm. Connection at Maddalena Bus Terminal. Arrival in Camerino at 10:40pm

BY CAR
Those travelling on the A14 motorway should take the 'Macerata-Civitanova Marche' exit and proceed west along the divided highway until the Camerino exit. Then drive for about 6Km to the top of the hill where Camerino is located.
Those travelling to the west of the Apennines mountains should travel as far as Foligno and then take the  'Macerata-Civitanova Marche' exit and proceed est till the Camerino exit. Then drive for about 6Km to the top of the hill where Camerino is located.
