Guidelines for Presenters

Attendees who are presenting at SILS2019 should note the following guidelines.

The official language of the conference is English.

Oral presentations

  • In order to avoid delays in the sessions, please ensure that your presentation duration does not exceed the allocated timeslot (as indicated in the program) including time for questions.

  • Presentations may only be given as PowerPoint or PDF presentations (if you must use PowerPoint for Mac, please test the compatibility of your presentation on a Windows computer).

  • A PC running Windows operating system will be available in each room, at the conference venue. Speakers should upload their presentations to the venue PC and check it at least 10 minutes in advance of the session that they are presenting.

  • The use of personal computers for presentations is not allowed, unless in exceptional circumstances to avoid delays: if you feel this is necessary, please make please discuss with the Local Organizers team or your session chairperson, at least four hours prior to your presentation and make sure to provide an adpter to HDMI.

 

Poster presentations

The official poster session is scheduled on Tuesday September 10 from 13.10 to 15.00 (Lunch&Poster session).

A0 (84x119cm) is the requested dimension for paper poster.

Please check your poster number in the conference programme. A label indicating your number will be placed on the top of your board space. Hanging material will be provided on site.
